The Nye County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to the philosophy and the implementation of the principles of community policing. The Nye County Sheriff’s Office strives to establish and maintain a relationship with the community in order to ensure needs are met as it relates to law enforcement and crime prevention. Without the assistance of the community the Sheriff’s Office cannot effectively impact crime rates and positively influence the quality of life within our community.

Volunteers are needed:

 

The Nye County Sheriff's Office is looking for committed adult citizens who would like to volunteer their time working with law enforcement, Uniformed and Non-Uniformed positions.  Duties would include, taking reports, answering phones and data entry. Background checks and assessments will be performed on all interested parties.

 

If you would be interested in volunteering please contact your local Sheriff Substation at: North Area Command (Tonopah): 775- 482 –8110, Central Area Command (Beatty) 775-553-2345, South Area Command (Pahrump): 751-7000.
